All tagged playlist

For this week, I wanted to try and create as seamless a playlist as possible. The ride takes from you a new single by a longtime favorite Young Fathers to a retooling of a classic Michael Jackson song, vibes abound.

As we kick off 2018, it's the perfect moment to explore undiscovered gems and first-time artists in 2017. That's what this playlist is devoted to.

Bad Girl RiRi

I'm excited to launch my new featured artists series. Every month, I'll have a playlist decided entirely to one (or in some cases two) artists. To kick off 2018, I can think of nobody better than Rihanna.

(Not) Safe

In the second to last playlist of 2017, I'm not playing safe, ft. songs a remix by Calvin Harris, a new Cardi B single, and a Kaytranda-produced Cassie track.

This playlist is all about the sticky situation that is contemporary life in America for marginalized folks, from the highs to the lows and hope for the future.

This week's playlist is built around the idea of a dome - that music can both protect from the outside elements and build its own ecosystem inside.

Inspired by U.S. Girl's new track "Velvet 4 Sale," a unconventional pop song about revenge, this week spans electronic takes on dancehall to Spanish language R&B to an 80s pop remix.

This week's playlist is inspired by SSION's first single since 2012. Thankfully we've been graced by releases from both Björk and Sufjan Stevens, which structure the playlist.

This week's playlist is led by Björk's latest single from her new album Utopia and tends to be quite ambitious in covering everything from dance music to hip hop to pop bangers in the process.

This week is really centered around yaeji's EP 2, which I feature two singles from. But so many other exciting, undiscovered artists are featured here.

Just when I thought music was quieting down for 2017, we get SOPHIE's brilliant queer anthem that sparked this week's playlist.

This week features some of the most established acts, from St. Vincent to a surprise new single by Fever Ray, but also focuses on the upcoming and emerging artists from around the world.

Mean Demeanor

In this week's playlist, I offer an array of musical styles in an homage to defiance. Some old favorites are included, like Lizzo, Baloji or Run the Jewels, but I also bring in new voices, like Mahalia, Rachel Foxx, and Anna Leone.

This week's playlist features some heavy hitters in music: Björk, TORRES and Angel Olsen, along with some of the most promising emerging voices: Moses Sumney, Rayana Jay, and Cold Specks.
